"Abuse Towards the Elements"
Collaboration/ Public Art Work
Me and my collar partner, white back drop, bleach, toothpaste, water, milk carton, spinach, wire, magnesium slats, charcoal, chips, egg, soil, zinc tablets, banana, batteries, camera, premier pro, video camera.
Collaboration Project. Working with another student, myself exploring the human body and our elements within and them looking into bully culture, abuse. Coming together we created a video work, which then became a Public Art Work, which was displayed in West Lothian College Canteen.
The video includes a series of clips which are all shown at the same time. Showing clips of me and my collaboration partner being hurtful and abusive towards the 'Elements', the products listed above.
Beginning of the collaboration project using lists including of:
- Different types of abuse
- Different ways of abusing
- Different ways the elements and abuse can harm the body, inside and out

Video 2: Collaboration video used, projected over a blue glass head. Hinting at the damage blue light does to out inner brains. Suggesting bullying. Linking all work together.
Video 3: Collaboration video used, white polystyrene head with project of my face showing I am in pain. Suggesting the pain the abuse does to my insides.
Health Hazard signs created as a solo projected placed out into shops suggesting that we don't know how much pain and threat consuming the elements which are within us can cause us. Public Art Work.
Collages. Juxtaposing healthy organs and bruised bananas together showing the pain we may not see is being cause deeper down.
More collage work. Exploring the pain we can bring to our bodies through products which keep us alive.
